Remembrance Day - November 1999 The Millennium Dome, the symbol for the dawn of the next century, was the preferred site to commemorate the great sacrifice of all those who fell during the Great War of 1914 - 1918. On a brisk late autumn night on the evening of 10th and into the early hours of 11th November, The Royal British Legion Red Poppy was projected across the River Thames and onto the side of the Millennium Dome. The image was photographed by the world's media and appeared, in colour, on the front page of the Daily Telegraph that as part of their Remembrance Day feature. Project Manager: Paul Green
