TRANSEURO UK Headquarters Opening

The spring of 1999 witnessed the dawn of a new era of Fire Safe Storage facilities opened in North London by TransEuro. At over 150,000 square feet the warehouse is globally unique that it is completely automated with computerised cranes to handle the vast quantity of fire safe steel containers, which it accommodates for customers world wide.

Laser Grafix were approached by TransEuro to co-ordinate and produce an opening event for this awesome new facility, incorporating the main features of the warehouse, the steel containers.

After several planning meetings it was decided to use the massive containers like a LEGO set, enclosing the main stage from the entrance and reception area. Containers were stacked side-by-side forming a bottom row and then placed on top with gaps of 1m wide other containers then sat. These gaps enabled the installation of high-powered scrolling projectors, which would project images onto the opposite wall of containers creating a perfect screen surface.

The main stage for the launch included a spectacular aerial ballet show, and the Crazed "Lucy" with her angle grinder and metal bikini!
